Four sections of the Ganga, sorted by how much whitewater you want. Certified guides, full safety gear and a free pickup-drop in Rishikesh come with every booking.
Stay riverside at Himalayan Ganga Retreat, 8 km past Laxman Jhula on Neelkanth Road and roughly 15 minutes from the Shivpuri put-in. The camp and the rafts are run by the same team, so it’s one WhatsApp number and one pickup. We use proper AC cottages, not the flimsy canvas tents you’ll see further downriver.
Want something different? Maybe the 9 km Brahmpuri stretch for the kids, or a 3-night stay. WhatsApp us for a custom quote · Full camp details & cottages →
Driver collects you; quick stop for tea on the way to the put-in point.
Life jacket, helmet, paddle. Your guide runs commands and rescue drills before you hit the water.
16 km of whitewater, named rapids like Roller Coaster and Double Trouble. Cliff jump optional mid-river.
Dry off, change in the changing rooms, head back to Rishikesh. Photos on request.
Our rafting base is Raver Expedition Adventures in Rishikesh, run by the same team that owns Pahadi House. Pickups for all four stretches (9, 16, 26, 35 km) start from here, from your hotel, or from your camp cottage.
Daily rafting departures · Riverside camp 8 km from Laxman Jhula · One WhatsApp books both.
Shivpuri is the most-booked rafting put-in on the Ganga. The 16 km Shivpuri to NIM Beach run carries you through Roller Coaster, Golf Course and Double Trouble in two to three hours of Grade II–III water. Our riverside camp at Rattapani is roughly 15 minutes upstream of the Shivpuri put-in by road, 8 km past Laxman Jhula. Pickup is from your cottage door at 7:30 AM. You finish at NIM Beach by noon, and you’re back at camp for lunch and a bonfire by evening. That’s why Shivpuri is the default stretch in our Weekend Combo at ₹6,999 for two.
Rafting-only prices start at ₹599 per person for the 9 km Brahmpuri stretch, ₹999 for 16 km Shivpuri, ₹1,499 for 26 km Marine Drive and ₹2,499 for the 35 km Expert run from Kaudiyala. Camping at Himalayan Ganga Retreat is ₹6,000 a night for the AC Deluxe cottage (couples) or ₹12,000 a night for the Maharaja, which sleeps up to six. The two combo packages above bundle both at a single rate. If you want a different mix of nights, group size or stretch, we’ll quote it on WhatsApp. Nothing is paid until you confirm the dates; we send a secure payment link after that.
The full rafting season runs October to June. Mid-July through mid-September is monsoon: rafting is suspended on government order, but the camp itself stays open at its lowest rates of the year. October to March is peak. Days are crisp, the river runs clear and every stretch is open; weekends book out two to three weeks ahead. December and January are bonfire weather, with cold mornings and blue afternoons that suit couples and slow writing weekends. April to June by the river is warm in the day and cool at night, which suits swimming and mid-week rafting before the crowds show up.
Brahmpuri 9 km is the family-and-beginner stretch (kids 12 and up, mostly Grade I–II floats). The Shivpuri 16 km combo is what most couples and first-time groups book; it’s also the best value of the lot. The Maharaja cottage paired with the 26 km Marine Drive run works for college groups, corporate offsites and birthday weekends of up to six. The camp is pet-friendly, has Wi-Fi and parking on-site, and the travel desk can also book bungee jumping (83 m, India’s highest), Beatles Ashram visits or a Neelkanth temple run. Whether you’re after rafting and camping in Rishikesh, riverside beach camping near NIM Beach, or just a one-night Shivpuri combo, the booking goes through the same WhatsApp number.
