Yash is from Akhodi village in Tehri Garhwal. He grew up around mountain farming, mountain weather, and mountain families. The kind of upbringing that gives you a long memory for places.

After the 2013 Kedarnath floods wiped out the rafting resort he and Abhay were running together in Rishikesh, the two decided to rebuild differently. They started leasing abandoned village homes and giving young people from Garhwal a reason to stay in the hills.

At Pahadi House, Yash handles location scouting and partnerships with village families. The rule for every new property is simple: hire from the village, source from the village, live like the village.
