- Other animals — please contact us before booking. We may not be able to accommodate all species
- Maximum pets per booking: 2 pets per room/tent, unless agreed otherwise
3. Requirements
3.1 Vaccination & Health
- Your pet must have up-to-date vaccinations, including rabies
- Please carry your pet’s vaccination certificate or health card — we may request to see it at check-in
- Pets must be free from fleas, ticks, and parasites — please treat your pet before the trip
- If your pet has a contagious illness, please do not bring them — for the safety of other animals and guests
3.2 Behaviour
- Your pet must be well-socialised and comfortable around other people and animals
- Aggressive, excessively fearful, or uncontrolled pets may be asked to leave
- Continuous barking, howling, or other noise that disturbs fellow guests is not permitted, especially during quiet hours (10:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
3.3 Identification
- Dogs must wear a collar with ID tag (name, your phone number) at all times
- We recommend microchipping for additional safety, especially in unfamiliar mountain terrain
4. On-Property Rules
4.1 Leash & Supervision
- Pets must be on a leash in all common areas (reception, dining, pathways, parking)
- Pets must be supervised at all times — do not leave your pet unattended in the room/tent
- If you need to step out without your pet, please ensure they are safely secured in a travel crate or carrier inside your accommodation
4.2 Designated Areas
- Pet-friendly zones: Your room/tent, outdoor gardens and lawns, designated walking areas
- No-pet zones: Dining areas, kitchen, other guests’ rooms/tents, swimming or bathing areas
- Your host will show you the pet-friendly areas and walking routes at check-in
4.3 Waste Management
- Pick up after your pet. Always. Carry waste bags with you (we can provide them if needed)
- Dispose of pet waste in designated bins — never on walking paths, gardens, or near water bodies
- Clean up any mess your pet makes inside the accommodation
4.4 Feeding
- Please bring your own pet food and feeding bowls — we do not provide pet meals
- Feed your pet in your room/tent or in designated areas, not in the dining area
- Do not leave pet food out in open areas — it attracts monkeys, birds, and other animals
5. Guest Responsibility & Liability
As a pet owner staying at Pahadi House, you are fully responsible for:
| Responsibility |
Details |
| Behaviour |
Any behaviour issues, including aggression, excessive barking, or damage |

| Cleaning |
Any extraordinary cleaning required due to your pet (beyond normal housekeeping) |
| Third-party claims |
Any claims or complaints from other guests arising from your pet’s behaviour |
Additional charges may apply for:
- Deep cleaning of the room/tent after your stay (if required)
- Repair or replacement of damaged items
- Any professional cleaning needed
These charges will be communicated to you and collected before checkout or billed separately.
6. Wildlife Awareness
Our properties are in mountain environments where wildlife is present. For your pet’s safety:
- Do not let your pet chase or interact with wild animals — monkeys, langurs, snakes, porcupines, and other wildlife are common in the area
- Keep your pet on a short leash near forested areas
- Be aware of ticks and leeches — check your pet after walks, especially during monsoon season
- We recommend applying tick and flea preventive treatment before your trip
- If your pet is bitten by a snake or has an encounter with wildlife, inform us immediately — we can help locate the nearest veterinary clinic
7. Other Guests
- Not all guests are comfortable around animals. Please be considerate of others
- If another guest has an allergy or fear, we may need to adjust arrangements (e.g., seating at meals, walking routes). We appreciate your cooperation
- Keep your pet close to you in shared spaces and away from other guests’ personal areas
8. Pahadi House’s Right to Refuse
We reserve the right to:
- Refuse accommodation to a pet if it appears aggressive, ill, or poses a risk to other guests or wildlife
- Ask you to remove your pet from common areas if it’s causing disturbance
- Request that you make alternative arrangements for your pet if issues persist
- Charge for damages or extraordinary cleaning
These decisions are made in the interest of all guests and the environment. They are final.
