Trek to the peak, camp under the stars
Perched atop the historic George Everest Peak in Mussoorie — where Sir George Everest, the Surveyor General of India, once mapped the Himalayas — Camp George Everest is a Pahadi House adventure experience like no other. At 7,000 feet, you’re above the tourist bustle, surrounded by pine and deodar forests, with 360-degree views of the Doon Valley and snow-capped Himalayan ranges.
Trek through whispering forests to reach your campsite, spend the evening around a crackling bonfire with the city lights of Dehradun twinkling below, and fall asleep to absolute silence. Wake to a summit sunrise that paints the Himalayas gold. This isn’t a hotel — it’s the raw, beautiful Uttarakhand that most visitors never see.

Good to know
What’s the best time to visit?
March to June offers pleasant weather and clear skies — perfect for trekking and stargazing. October to February is bonfire season with crisp mountain air and the best stargazing conditions. December is special for the Geminids Meteor Shower. Monsoon (July–September) sees reduced operations due to trail conditions.
Is it suitable for families with kids?
Absolutely. We welcome families and can arrange a gentler trek route. The campsite is secure, supervised, and children love the bonfire, stargazing, and self-cooking activities. We recommend it for kids aged 6 and above.
How do I book?
Use the booking card above to send us your dates and group size, or WhatsApp us directly at +91 90121 66400. We’ll confirm availability within an hour and share all the details you need for your trip.
What should I pack?
Sturdy trekking shoes are essential. Bring warm layers — temperatures drop significantly at night even in summer. A headlamp or torch, water bottle, and light backpack for the trek. We provide tents, sleeping bags, mattresses, and meals.
Can solo travelers join?
Yes! Solo travelers are very welcome. You’ll be grouped with other campers for the trek and bonfire — it’s a great way to meet fellow adventurers. Our staff ensures everyone feels comfortable and included.
Is the trek difficult?
The 2 km trek to the campsite is moderate — suitable for beginners with a reasonable fitness level. It takes about 30–45 minutes through a beautiful pine forest. Our guides set a comfortable pace and help with any gear you’re carrying.
